FG suspends Dana Air's operating license again

The Federal Government of Nigeria has once again suspended the operating license of Dana Air, barely three months after they were allowed to fly again following the June 2012 crash that killed over 150 people.According to the directive from the Ministry of Aviation through the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, on Saturday, March 16, 2013, Dana Air was instructed to suspend all their flight operations until some safetly issues were rectified by the airline.A Dana Air representative told newsmen yesterday that no specific reason was given to them by Aviation ministry for th...more »

Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority DG, Dr Harold Demuren, sacked

The Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Dr. Harold Demuren, has been sacked. A statement was released today Monday March 11th saying the decision was approved by President Goodluck Jonathan after “a careful consideration” of Demuren’s “unsatisfactory response to the numerous concerns of stakeholders in the aviation sector.”

His successor will be announced in the coming days.

Two teenagers rape 6 year old sister to death in Delta state

A 19-year-old boy, Felix Inia and his 16-year-old brother, Stanley are now cooling their heels at the headquarters of the Delta State Police Command, Asaba, for allegedly defiling their six-year-old stepsister, Precious Kankamor. The incident, which eventually led to the death of the victim, occurred at Ogbe-Ijoh community, Warri South Local Government Area of the state. The suspects were said to have had carnal knowledge of the minor by forcefully penetrating her, which led to severe injuries in the victim’s private part.

Wow! when I heard this, I found it hard to believe but apparently, it's true. I mean a whole department in school for a child? Indeed, his father must like education.

According to Net, his billionaire father,  Mr. Adeleke wants his son to enroll in a University and graduate with a degree.

And to make that happen, he has reportedly built an entire department at Babcock University (where he is currently a provost) for Creative Arts, which will have Davido and his manager Kamal as the only students for now.

I heard he also bought a car which takes the boys to and from school as they work to combine academic commitments with show business.

Davido and Kamal (who had to go back to school because of Davido’s father’s insistence) are using the opportunity to bond, a source tells us.

It is also likely that his celebrity cousins, Bayo ‘B.Red’ and Sina ‘Sinarambo’ Adeleke will be joining them soon.

‘Davido’s dad believes a lot in his music and HKN. He thinks David can take it to the next level but he also feels education is compulsory foundation for his son’, a source to the family tells us.

We learnt he has been helping to put up necessary structures that’ll ensure the boys don’t mess things up. For starters, Mr Adeleke insists on meeting with everyone working with his son.
And the young pop star has so far been co-operative.

Davido’s mother, Vera, an educationist herself was until her death in 2003, a lecturer at Babcock University.

RMD denies N50 million fraud, my hands are clean he says

According to Sahara Reporters, star actor and current Delta State commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Richard Mofe Damijo, is at the centre of an alleged fraudulent transfer of funds which the EFCC is supposedly currently investigating. The report claimed that RMD and the acting GM of the Delta State Tourism Board, Mrs Philo Nkem Ajufo, squandered N50 million belonging to the ministry (Google the story, it's all over the net).

RMD has finally reacted to the allegations, insisting it's not true.

"I won't respond to Sahara Reports. When it's time, I will. And I'm sure you know it's not true" He told Encomium magazine on March 3rd.

RMD and Toolz hosted Iyanya's concert on Saturday and the governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan was in the audience. The most interesting part of this allegation is that EFCC is yet to alert the nation of any fraud in Delta State.

This is a true story and I need your urgent advise. I left my matrimonial home in January after I found out another woman was pregnant for my husband. I was six months pregnant then and the other lady was five. This woman is my husband's ex who he kept sleeping with until our wedding in September 2012. He told me he hasn't touched her since we got married but he got her pregnant a month before our wedding. I'm eight months pregnant now and I'm very angry and disappointed in myself for choosing a man who has humiliated so much. My family and friends are begging me to go back home, give my marriage a chance and have my baby there, but I don't know that I want to do that. I'm staying at my parents house at the moment and yes my husband is also begging. So on top of being angry, I'm also confused.

What rubbish.!! Frog jump alone makes one dizzy, think about it with a heavy box on one's head after a long trek  from the gate to the camp ground where this punishment took place.
Some of them  must have traveled far to Nasarrawa under the scorching northern sun. This is just wrong and inhuman.

This is extremely wrong all in d name of NYSC. After one year of serving, you still go and look for a job. What is d freaking purpose of NYSC wen you're just gonna teach? How will Nigeria grow like this???

Sunmbo Ajaba, to wed May 4th

One of 2face Idibia's baby mamas, Sunmbo Ajaba, is set to wed the senior pastor at Royal Christian Centre, David Adeoye. Their wedding has been fixed for Saturday May 4th 2013. Their court wedding will hold Thursday May 2nd at the Ikoyi registry. They already held their introduction ceremony.

David and Sunmbo have been friends for many years but their friendship changed after David lost his wife, Folake Adeoye in November 2011. Sunmbo is one of the active members in pastor Adeoye's church and is a committed choir member who leads the praise and worship. Her event company handles most of the church events.

About a month ago, it was reported that parents-to-be Kim and Kanye plunked down $11 million for a 10,000-square-foot Bel Air mansion.

Now it's being reported that the new Italian style home has been quietly put back on the market. That is according to The Real Estate Stalker.

Missing engineer, Akanbi Oluwatoyin, found dead in Ifo, Ogun State

A week after oil engineer Akanbi Oluwatoyin was declared missing by his family, he has been found dead in Ifo Ogun State according to a family member.

Akanbi and his silver 2008 Highlander with plate no: SMK975AS went missing around 5:30am on Monday February 18th on his way to work. His corpse was found in Ifo yesterday by the police but his car was not found. Akanbi worked with an oil company in Lekki and had to no business in Ogun State on that fateful day, so friends believe he was driven there and killed.

The police are currently investigating his death. So sad. Rest in peace, Amen.

CCTV punch attacks: Nigerian Michael Ayoade jailed for 4 years

The 35 year old Nigerian man, Michael Ayoade, who was caught on CCTV punching a teenage girl and a female student, and leaving them unconscious on the ground, has been jailed for four years.

Michael attacked female student, Daniella Montieth, in 2011, without any provocation. She was taken to the hospital with a broken tooth after he hit her in the side of the head at Plaistow tube station. Then on November 13th 2012 he jogged up behind a 16-year-old girl in the High Street and punched her in the head. The teenager fell to the ground, breaking three of her teeth. (pictured above)

During his trial, Ayoade said the teenager had "looked at him in a rude way" and that he could not go through the rest of the day having taken "an insult from a little person like that".

Ayoade was yesterday sentenced to four years in prison for the attack on the teenager and 19 months for punching the student. The two sentences will run concurrently.
